Fluid Power Support was founded in 2000. In the last 20 years Fluid Power has grown into a state-of-the-art metal fabrication facility mastering CNC, robotic welding, laser technologies, power folding, punching, shearing, sand blasting and powder coating systems.

Job Summary:

In the Industrial Maintenance Technician role, you will provide electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic repair and maintenance support, including some fabrication.  As a Maintenance Tech, you will perform various support activities to support the production needs of the Company.

Job Duties:

  • Completing preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility.
  • Troubleshoot minor electrical issues and mechanical breakdowns.
  • Utilize and work with maintenance trades and components such as electrical, welding, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, mechanical maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Modify or build equipment by reading and comprehending electrical/mechanical schematics, blueprints and/or operation manuals.
  • Operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, electric tools, precision maintenance tools, preventative maintenance technology tools, etc.
  • Determine and recommend when contractors are necessary.
  • Responsible for ordering and receiving parts.
  • Documenting completed work and the condition found, utilizing job shop program as necessary.
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and overhead cranes.
  • Performs all functions in accordance with company safety procedures and with OSHA requirements.
  • Assist with maintenance of other facilities as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to quickly comprehend the functions of the machines used in fabrication and machining processes.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
  • Effectively read a tape measure with accuracy.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to communicate in English (verbal/written) with co-workers and management.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Experience and Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificate
  • 2-4 years’ experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs. and larger amounts with assistance, kneeling, climbing crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:

In our facility, employees may be exposed to excessive noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, and ambient temperatures.
