Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our advanced metal fabrication operation in Mexico, Missouri. Our 120-employee manufacturing facility utilizes cutting-edge CNC machining, tube bending, robotic welding, laser cutting, power folding, punching, shearing, sandblasting, and powder coating technologies to produce high-quality fabricated metal products. The Electrical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing electrical, electronic, automation, and control systems to maximize equipment reliability, productivity, and safety.
Job Duties:
- Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, PLC, servo, and automation-related equipment issues.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), sensors, relays, contactors, and industrial networking systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems and machine controls as required. Other duties as assigned.

- Air compressors and facility utility systems
- Troubleshoot and program PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation systems.
- Support robotic welding systems and associated controls.
- Assist with machine integration, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain machine safety circuits, interlocks, and guarding systems.
- Support data collection, process monitoring, and equipment performance initiatives.
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Document repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment history in the maintenance management system.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain spare parts inventories and assist with sourcing replacement components.
- Follow all OSHA, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and company safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and manufacturing safety standards.
- Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving electrical, automation, and control systems.
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, and industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Understanding of lockout/tagout procedures and electrical safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with CNC machinery, robotic welding systems, or laser cutting equipment.
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Fanuc, or similar control platforms.
- Knowledge of industrial networking, Ethernet/IP, and machine communications.
- Experience with predictive maintenance technologies.
- OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E, or related certifications.
Experience and Education Required:
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in industrial environments for extended periods.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
- Capability to work around moving machinery, electrical equipment, and manufacturing processes safely.
