Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Systems Manager (MSM) will serve as the key owner of our ERP system, driving how our employees interact with it and ensuring the software accurately reflects real-time operations on the shop floor. This role is ideal for someone who understands manufacturing processes and knows how to mold software to fit production—not the other way around.

The MSM will work cross-functionally to improve system usage, data accuracy, and overall operational efficiency. They will also lead the discovery and integration of new tools to better support scheduling, resource utilization, and production performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage daily usage of the ERP system (E2 JobBOSS), ensuring accuracy and consistency across modules.
  • Audit and validate critical system data: job routing, purchase orders, inventory levels, labor hours, and cycle times.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to improve scheduling accuracy and job visibility.
  • Develop and execute rollout plans for ERP changes, updates, and new module implementations.
  • Create and maintain training materials, lead ERP training sessions for new and existing users.
  • Identify and implement improvements to how we use ERP to support leaner, more efficient processes.
  • Generate custom reports and dashboards to support real-time decision making.
  • Serve as the liaison between internal users, leadership, and external ERP vendors.
  • Support integration of new technologies or systems that can enhance ERP performance or business insights.
  • Ensure all ERP updates and customizations are tested and validated prior to deployment.
  • Develop and improve ISO standards and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Partner with IT to manage software upgrades, data backups, and technical troubleshooting.

What You’ll Bring:

Required:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to dig into data and processes to uncover root causes.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and review.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems in a manufacturing setting (E2 JobBOSS preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with ISO standards and/or EcoVadis sustainability practices.
  • Experience with custom reporting tools or SQL-based report writing.
  • Previous success rolling out or optimizing ERP functionality on a shop floor.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 1–3 years of experience managing or supporting ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods working at a computer.
  • Occasional visits to the plant environment required.

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Office and production floor settings.
    • General office environment, with some exposure to plant environment, with forklift and other general hazards
    • Safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and hearing protection required while on the plant floor.

  • Full-time position, Monday–Friday (40+ hours per week).
