Who we are:

Fluid Power Support was founded in 2000. In the last 25 years Fluid Power has grown into a state-of-the-art metal fabrication facility mastering CNC, robotic welding, laser technologies, power folding, punching, shearing, sand blasting and powder coating systems.

Job Summary:

The CDL Driver will be responsible for hauling finished steel products as well as back hauls within a 200-mile radius of our manufacturing facility.  Most of our focus is on specialized, oversize flatbed, boxed, conestoga and 1-ton pick up w/goose neck trailer freight.      

Job Duties:

  • Drive trucks for up to 11 hours per day Monday through Friday.
  • Verify contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
  • Secure loads utilizing chains, straps, tarps, etc.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights and brakes to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition.
  • Report on any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
  • Assist with assembling/disassembling specialized trailers. 
  • Communicate with customers for delivery.
  • Follow all FMCSA driver guidelines.
  • Must maintain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Computer/technology skills required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to recognize errors with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally.

Experience and Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificate
  • 2 years’ related experience required.

Physical Demands:

  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:

  • General office environment, with some exposure to plant environment, with forklift and other general hazards.
  • Safety glasses with side shields in the plant environment.
  • Steel toed boots/shoes in the plant environment.
  • Hearing protection in the plant environment.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Full-time position, 40+ hours per week
